DR. ARABELLE DOUGLAS
Neurologist (Nerve Conduction Studies & Electromyography)
Dr. Arabelle Douglas is a neurologist with subspecialty training in clinical neurophysiology. She holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland and completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle in 2015.
Arabelle subsequently moved to Melbourne, where she undertook physician training at Austin and Northern Health. She went on to complete advanced training in neurology at The Royal Hobart Hospital, The Northern Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, with a fellowship in neurophysiology and progressive neurodegenerative diseases. Her clinical interests include motor neurone disease and other neuromuscular diseases.
Dr. Douglas currently holds public hospital positions at Calvary Health Care Bethlehem, Barwon Health, and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. Alongside her clinical work, she has research interests in the care of people living with motor neurone disease in Australia. She also enjoys teaching junior doctors and has been recognised for this work by being shortlisted for Registrar of the Year at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne in 2024, and winner of the 2021 Prize for Excellence in Clinical Teaching at the University of Tasmania.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys ceramics, gardening and running.
She is currently practising exclusively as a neurophysiologist at Epping Specialist Group, performing nerve conduction studies and electromyography (EMG).
